After watching the speech buddies videos, I feel that you can learn a lot just by listening to their topics and how they transition from one point to the next. Its something we all need to learn how to do and do well. In the first video, “Drinking,” Mathew, first, has a great topic that will definitely motivate his listeners. Second, he did a great job of grabbing attention with transitions and such.
In the second video, “Light Pollution,” Courtney did a good job of presenting her topic, some might have found it more interesting than others, but she presented her speech in a way that would grab the attention of many of the listeners.
I learned a small helpful tip while watching the videos, try and make your audience visualize what you are talking about and make them, somehow, relate to it.

Hello Barack! At the very start of your post you mentioned something really important - transitioning from idea to idea. You really should do this in an overt way so your audience can follow what you are saying. How will you personally do this in your first speech?
