Chapter 6 concepts
After reading through chapter 6, the concepts are pretty clear, and I feel that one is very useful to everyone. Internet resources, possibly the best invention ever, the internet can be defined as a tool. I have learned a good portion of what I know about computers and cars through the internet. Its free knowledge and when people ask me how I learned all I know about computers, I grab a piece of paper and write on it “google.com.” As a younger child, I discovered that the internet contains an answer to everything, it is a collection of everyone’s experience and knowledge, and no library can match the amount of information it contains.

I agree that the internet is an indispensible tool and has so much information entangled in its web it would make your head spin. But in an academic and or business setting it could be the kiss of death. If you had gotten a source that was not accurate it could make you seem inadequate in front of your coworkers. But you just have to be cautious about where you are getting your information. I will never say that Google is not a powerful tool bit it is to be used with caution. The internet is very useful bit it comes with a price.
ReplyDeleteHello Barack! The internet is a valuable source of information. Since this class requires sources other than internet sources, what avenues are you exploring for this first speech? What other sources have you looked at and are using for the Cultural Artifact Speech?
